Enable 2-Step Verification (2FA)

2-Step Verification (commonly known as two-factor authentication, or 2FA) acts as an extra layer of security for your iDeyPay Naira & Bitcoin wallets.

When sending funds out of your Naira or Bitcoin Wallet, you will need either your iDeyPay password or a one-time passcode (OTP) generated by your 2FA: printed paper codes.

Why two-factor authentication?

• More than 99% of the attacks against you can be prevented with two-factor authentication
• Two-factor authentication codes are very hard to steal, unlike passwords.
• It takes only few minutes to set it up!

1. Login or Sign Up.

Visit ideypay.com, or download our Android app, iDeyPay from Google Play Store.

Click  “Login” if you have an account already, or “Sign up” if you don’t have an iDeyPay account.

2. Go to Profile & Settings.

Once you’re signed in, click on the “My Account” icon then click “Profile & Settings“. Scroll down to “My Settings”  and click “Enable 2FA”.

3. Reveal paper codes.

Click on the link that says “Click here to reveal” your paper based two-factor authentication codes. The 135 paper codes will be revealed in a separate page.

4. Save or Print codes.

Print the codes or save it somewhere safe. Then provide the “key” code from the top left corner of the code sheet, the first code and answer to the security question asked.

5. Submit.

Click “Activate 2FA” to submit the form.
