How to edit a Trade Ad
At iDeyPay, You can edit a trade ad to suit your preference.
Coins are escrowed – During a trade, the coins are held in escrow and only released when payment has been confirmed.
Naira is reserved – For a buy trade ad with Naira Wallet as payment method, your reserved Naira is used to make instant payment based on the exchange rate you set.
To edit a trade ad, your reserved Naira or escrowed coins will be recalculated to suit your new exchange rate.
1. Login or Sign Up.
Visit ideypay.com, or download our Android app, iDeyPay from Google Play Store.
Click “Login” since you have an account already.
2. Select the My Trades option.
Once you’re signed in, click on the menu icon then select the option that says “My Trades“.
3. Choose the Edit option.
Under “My Ads”, you will see a list of all your ads. Look for the ad you want to edit and Click the “Edit” button at the right hand side of the ad.
4. Fill the Form.
Do you want to buy bitcoin or sell bitcoin? Choose your option.
Select your payment method. A list of your added bank accounts will be in the list with other options like Bank Transfer, Naira Wallet etc.
Each payment option serves it purpose:
- Naira Wallet: For instant automatic trading without your input during trade.
- Bank Transfer: You can pay or receive with other bank accounts not added to your iDeyPay profile, if you select this option. The bank account details has to be provided in the real-time trade chat.
- Your Added bank accounts: The account selected will be sent to the buyer for payment.
- Bank Transfer or Naira Wallet: Users can choose to pay with any of the two.
Click ‘Dynamic‘ or ‘Static‘ to select the price type.
Dynamic price type is a feature that enables users to create trade ads at rates that change based on a drop or spike in the general price of bitcoin.With dynamic price type, we pull the bitcoin price from Blockchain API in USD and multiply it with the Naira exchange rate you set.
Static price type is a feature that enables users to create trade ads at a fixed Naira exchange rate per BTC which will never change.
Provide your Price Exchange Rate in Naira (buying or selling price) based on dynamic price type OR Price per BTC based on the static price. For example: A dynamic price will be like 380 Naira/USD while a static price will be 2,500,623 Naira/BTC.
Your Price: Is the current price per BTC that appears. If dynamic, it will change based on the Blockchain’s API multiplied by USD Price Exchange Rate which you provided in the text field. If static, it will remain the same as the Price per BTC you inputted.
Set your minimum transaction limit and maximum transaction limit.
If you select Dynamic price type, you get the option to set your minimum price limit (for Sell trade ad) and your maximum price limit (for Buy trade ad). This is optional, if you set this rate, no matter the bitcoin price drops or rises, it will never go below the min. price limit or surpass the max price limit you set.
5. Submit.
After filling the form, Click “Submit”. If successful, you will be redirected to the trade ad page.
- Your trade ad is now active and you can see it on iDeyPay marketplace.
